Introducing Nicolaas Harding

Ever sports hungry and London-based contributor, Nicolaas is humbled to be collaborating with Sportscene.

He is passionate about Rugby Union, winter pursuits, climbing, tennis, and because of originally being from The Solent, sailing and of course Southampton Football Club. He actively participates in Elizabethan fencing with Brighton-based club, The 1595.

He is fascinated by paddle sports and strives to become an expert in this field.

He is a passionate writer and has a love of language where he has a background in publishing and in English teaching. He has lived in France as a student and in Mallorca, Spain as an English Teacher. Nicolaas is a natural and keen linguist having half-Dutch roots; he speaks fluent French and intermediate Spanish. He is a proud Englishman and was  during the London Olympics Opening Ceremony.

He has travelled full-circle around the world with his greatest moments being trekking up Machu Picchu in Peru, doing the Tongariro Crossing in New Zealand, hiring a seaplane in Quebec and taking flying lessons in London.

He is creative and charismatic both on-screen and in-voice; he aspires to be a broadcast sports presenter and journalist.
