This summer the Junior and U23 slalom athletes get a chance to race in the United States for the first time in several years! Where? Wausau, Wisconsin. Where is that? What is the course like? What is the town like?

First off, Wausau is in the northern mid west, just over 4 hours northwest of Chicago, Illinois. I’ve always found Wausau to be a friendly and easy to navigate place with nice weather in the summertime. The local club, Wausau Whitewater, could not be more excited and have compiled some good video of the course that you may enjoy here on Sportscene.
